Cocos Island, often known as the Island of Sharks is a small holiday spot between Costa Rica and the Galapagos Islands. It is the largest uninhabited island in the world. Believe it or not, nobody lives on this island, other than a few national park rangers. This is sure to be a hit with those tourists who seek shark adventures. White tip reef sharks, whale sharks and hammerheads are among the varieties that you will find here. There lots of forests that are filled with the native hibiscus and palms, and white sandy beaches spread around the island.

The Prison Island is a pure white sandy beach with crystal clear waters surrounding it. In the summer this island is an ideal sun holiday destination, for those looking to bath on a beach and soak up the rays it is an absolute paradise. It is known for its turquoise and blue tropical waters, and the fabulous sunset.

Another beach delight is the Direction Island, a white tropical beach lined with palm trees. The island is a perfect place for swimming, snorkelling and relaxing. The landscapes are picture perfect from every angle. Tourists can relax on the white sandy beach and explore the natural beauty of this tropical island. The water is warm and ideal for relaxing in. Other activities available on the Island include snorkelling and picnicking in the yacht shelter.

To the south of the Island is the amusing Rip, a small sea channel. This is an excellent snorkelling site and it really is something not to be missed. You can peacefully view the calm corals and the fantastic different shades and varieties of fish. In the middle of the channel a faster current can take you for a ride, however it is easy to swim away from and is considered completely safe. Other fishes such as Napoleon Wrasse, Blue Fin Trevally, Sharks, Barracudas, Angelfish, Butterfly fish and Neon damsels can all be found here in the channel. All these sea creatures can be found in the crystal clear water of Rip.

At the Gerhard's Canon, you will have the opportunity to meet the famous Kat, the lonely dugong. The big fish who whistles music to every diver. She is the main attraction in the Canon. According to many tourist divers, she is a real beauty of the sea. Her tail, while moving slowly, is extremely strong to allow her to escapes the hungry site seekers.

In Unicom's Playground and the Towers, there are unspoiled coral gardens, lots of rare parrot fish, and different species of angel and butterfly fish, surgeon and dart and fire gobies. There is a healthy coral growth in the surrounding. Nearby this diving site is the Cologne Gardens, where amazing Gorgonian fans grow at 35 meters.
